Nick Notis This release is a drum & bass masterpiece. I've yet to hear a more musical narrative depicted in a predominantly percussive manner. Drum patterns change up abruptly, as befitting the genre, but always as a reaction to the rest of the composition. Drum resonances change in surprising and contrasting ways too. Crisp synth pad led chord progressions weave tone and melody in. Bass synth arrangements use dynamics to incredible effect, always working in tandem with the drum and melodic narrative. Favorite track: The Rite.
